Differences between Slugger and Slugger+

This plugin is a modification of Colin Devroe's awesome Slugger plugin. The basic difference is that mine removes the slug-specifying text during the initial XML-RPC transaction, thereby keeping your post content clean and obviating the need to filter for the slug-specifying text each time the post is accessed.

Installation and Implementation

  1. Place the sluggerplus.phps file into your /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
  2. Change the file extension from ".phps" to ".php".
  3. Activate the plugin from the WordPress admin panel.
  4. When writing a post from within MarsEdit, insert into the post text of the form: [slug]your slug goes here[/slug].
